Overview

NepTunes is a Mac app from micropixels. This website is static: it sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics. We only receive information you actively send us, such as a widget submission or a beta signup.

The app

Last.fm authentication and scrobbling happen directly between your Mac and Last.fm. NepTunes stores your Last.fm session locally on your device. NepTunes does not run its own servers that collect your listening history.

Purchases

NepTunes Pro is sold through the Mac App Store. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple — NepTunes never sees your payment details.

Widget submissions

If you submit a widget for the gallery, we collect the name, email, optional source URL, description and file you provide, solely to review it and — if approved — publish it with credit to you. The submission details are stored in Supabase, a hosted Postgres provider, and the widget bundle you upload is stored in Supabase Storage. We also record the IP address the submission came from, used only to prevent abuse of this form.

Beta signup

If you request a beta invite, we collect the email address (and, optionally, which player you use) that you provide. It's used only to send you a beta invite, never for marketing, and you can ask us to delete it any time. This form's submissions are also stored in Supabase.
